afternoon all,
Well it seems like the millenium bug has struck early in the NSW
Southern Highlands, as bigdan is unable to even switch his machine on.

Danny has asked me to advise that no freight trains are tabled to run on the 
short south between midnight tonite and midnite tomorrow (New Year's day). 
The only loco hauled job on the short south will be SL15 which will have the 
old "hot rod" 42220 on it as confirmed by myself on the departure road at 
Delec this afternoon (and also by chargeman
Les "pot-hole" willmet (?).

So if your fancy is to photograph Endeavours, Xplorers, or XPT's then go for 
it. Not exactly my cuppa but we are a strange lot as the public
sees us.

Seen at Delec were the two CRT 73's 7334 and 7322 both freshly painted in 
their corporate colours, but alas inside the shed so a shot was not 
possible. Also present was RSA's 4819 which has a different style of air con 
to those that the Frightcorp 48's have.Once again this unit was inside so no 
photo was possible. There was nothing else out of the ordinary at Delec but 
the number of stored locos appeared to equal the number of active ones.

So, on behalf of "bigdan" and "bootscooter" all the very best for New Years, 
and I hope that 2000 brings as much variety in motive power in use in NSW as 
it has in the latter part of 1999. The mexicans &
crowies have had it all their way for too long. 'bout time they shared it 
with us.

I will be cracking a couple of cans of Coke/ Diet Coke with bigdan at
Exeter tonight, only he will be on the payroll earning megabucks.
