Good morning, everyone. Yesterday afternoon's Indian Pacific had two
NRs on a single consist: most probably insurance against failure, since
there are very few other trains close and readily able to assist at this
time of year. It departed through Orange at 2107, but thanks to an
over-cautious motorist in front of me who stopped about three
car-lengths from the level crossing (probably a wise move, considering
all of the incidents in recent weeks), I was too far from the locos to
make out the numbers in the rain and darkness. The first looked to be
NR17, the second I think was NR30 or 50. Could anyone confirm these?
