Nice to hear some fans will be having a drink on New
Years Eve as a steam hauled charter train ascends
Montagu Pass (GEA Garratt + 19D); I have wondered what
other interesting enthusiast activities are planned
for NYE!

Seriously, is anyone contemplating an inventory of
what locomotives are running at 2359 on 31/12/99
and/or 0001 on 1/1/00? A "positioning map" like those
sometimes published in "Trains" magazine would be an
interesting souvenir of the millennium.
