Afternoon All
The situation here at 1530 is that the main line is open, via the yard,
a 50 tonne crane is rerailing the 5 pack and one other wagon in the
dirt, 4 bogies all told, both XPT;'s have passed through along with 1345
the Bomen fuel train, NR 61 has departed with the front 2/3rds of BM 2
NR 53 is working in the yard moving the remaining wagons as they are
rerailed etc, damage to the signalling is extensive with the
interlocking between both boxes knocked out, All starting, shunt ahead,
wrong road signals gone or damaged,
One can only hope that this pile up is not used as an excuse to
rationalise the rest of the yard
Yours,
Pete Kilburn, Junee,
You are younger today than you will ever be again
Make the most of it.
