Re: The 82 that got away

Mark,
I can confirm that 8239 is as of today working on Leigh Creek as a restricted second unit. This transfer by Freightcorp was unannounced and I'm told only to cover the failure of "several" 81s. I can confirm that negotiations are still proceeding (very slowly) that could see anything up to 12 of the  82 class units sent to South Australia. I expect to make an announcement some time in the New Year all going well.
Cheers
Bob

A reliable source has suggested that 8239 is working the Leigh Creek coalie
today, sandwiched between two 81s.

Anyone care to throw more light on the subject and if it is correct, how we
all missed it?

ASR are still negotiating to hire 3-5 82s sometime in the not too distant
future.

Cheers

Mark
