Glenbrook train disaster
Aus loco discussion mailing list
Although it's early days in finding out the exact cause of the rail crash
yesterday, the suggestion re signalling problems has been mooted. Due to the
length of the IP train, would it have been possible for the train to have
crossed two sets of signal breaks giving the impression to the signal box
that the train had passed two sections ahead of the interurban and thereby
leaving room for the interurban to proceed through Glenbrook on a "caution"?
Regards,
Brad
