Why should we think that Australian Rail travel is any safer than anywhere else, we just do it differently.
 
We shouldn't put ourselves above others.
Just saw it on the 1100 news, the front car on the interurban looked pretty bad on the drivers corner. The news said that a rail worker came running through the first car telling people to brace themselves(wonder if it was the driver ?).
News said six confirmed dead and four still in a critical condition
