RE: SILVERTON ON THE SOUTH

Aus loco discussion mailing list

This train arrived at Goulburn this morning (2/12) at 8.45am. It went
through Gunning at 9.45am. I think it was travelling a tad faster than 60kph
but perhaps it was an optical illusion or my car just can't keep up like it
used to.

Silverton double 422 and 48s37 led a motley bunch of locos - 8043 (tuscan),
4847,4857,4832 and 4834. I think a former WAGR WOAX gondola in dilapidated
yellow made up the tail. Quite a sight.

Regards,
Brad

The train will be marshalled with the withdrawn locos (or whats left
of them) placed in the middle of the assorted wagons that were
collected at Port Kembla. Tabled depart Chullora at 04.00, running as
train 9301, restricted to a speed of 60kmph. I'll be surprised if it
makes it to Goulburn by 08.00!

$200 price drop! If you've been waiting for a high-quality notebook computer at a reasonable price, this is it. The 300MHz Sony VAIO PCG-Z505TR is now only $1496. And that's a price you'll only find at CDW.
