[Ausloco] SA Happenings Recently
to ausloco discussion mailing list
Hi all,
Well there has been a lot happening over here recently in the last few
weeks. On the 23/5, 852 ran light engine to Whyalla to pick up L251. It was
then attached on 2PM9 SCT on the 24/5 and hauled to Adelaide. It left again
that night on 4AM3 Patricks as CLP12/GM32/GM40/L251(dead)/CLF7. On 25/5,
4202 rail train arrived at Dry Creek behind GM40/GM27/haul GM22. This train
detached GM10 at Tailem Bend for shunting a special passenger working this
week to be hauled by EL56. On 27/5, 6MP9 SCT with G528/G529/G520 stopped
just outside of Monarto South after the failure of G529 with ground relays.
The train pushed back to Monarto where it was overtaken by 6MP7 TrailerRail
and 6MP5. G537/G530/G539 ex 6MA4 TOLL were sent out light engine to Monarto
South to rescue 6MP9. They crossed 6MP7 and 6MP5 at Mt.Lofty. The return
movement looked and sounded great at Callington curve with
G539/G530/G537/G528/G529(dead)/G520 and 43 wagons.
On 28/5, 6PM9 SCT arrived with ALF22/ALF21/ALF25 hauling L254/L270.They were
due continue to Melbourne but they are still at Dry Creek coupled to BU1.
Also that day 1201 sleeper/rail train was worked by CLP12/GM43/haul
GM22/GM27. It was overtaken by 6PM7 TrailerRail at Belair before continuing.
It picked up GM10 at Tailem Bend along the way.
Well thats all from me,
Cheers,
Justin Cheary
