[Ausloco] Orange, 25/5

Good foggy morning, all.

Yesterday evening (Thu 25/5), train 8972 rolled into Orange from
Manildra at 2105, bone 8248 leading box 8146 (both #1 cab leading) with
21 MGFH Manildra hoppers in tow. They paused for two minutes at East
Fork for a crew change, as intending Indian Pacific passengers looked
on. The 81 sounded magnificent in the fog as they accelerated away (I
never thought I'd say that about modern units - how I miss the Cs!).

Just over half an hour later, WL1 IP made a very quick stop at East Fork
to collect the passengers, then at 2141, blasted its way through the
mist, fog-horn blaring. NR16 / motorail with 4 cars / 17 (?) carriages
(not definite - visibility was down to 10 metres or less in places!),
451 metres long and 826 tonnes.
