Spent a day snapping with my son Steven and his mate Chris Andronicus.
47 coal movements rostered, 2 grain trains (that we saw), inter and intra state freights (north coast and main north), Countrylink and local pass (620 sets). We even had to buy extra film!
Numerous double and triple 82 and 90 class workings but no mixed class workings.
Sightings included 8158/8128 on 9572 down freight to Gunnedah, 82/48/48 and 82/48 up grain combos and a down Mt Thorley coalie thru Allandale at 12:05 with the quad combo of 8233/8217/8236/8251. Followed this onto the branch and also snapped it at the two bridges leading down to the loader. Have quad 82's been noted previously by anyone or did we just strike a lucky day with combos and spotless weather?
