[Ausloco] ADMIN - Ausloco, the future

          I would like to take this opportunity to thank Patrick
Buchanan for looking after Ausloco during the past week. During the last
week I have had some time to think about the future of this list and my
involvement with it. Ausloco is growing every day with subscriber
numbers now at 265. With such a large number of subscribers it is
becoming impossible for me to spend enough time on the administration
side and the workload seems to be increasing. My personal workload is
also on the increase and as such I have arrived at the decision that I
must surrender Ausloco to someone who is willing and able to spend the
time to look after it. Whoever does take it on must not only look after
the day to day problems but also develop a long term plan for this list.
If the subscriber numbers are allowed to continue to rise the list will
eventually become to big to manage both from the administration side and
also from the number of messages that could be generated by more
subscribers. Perhaps a limit on subscriber numbers should be considered?

            At this time I am calling for expressions of interest from
subscribers who would be willing and able to take over the
administration of this list. You will need to be prepared to spend up to
10 hours per week to perform the duties that go with the job. If you
feel you are in a position to take this on please contact me off list
with a brief outline of who you are and how you can administer Ausloco.
There will be a transition period and assistance to the new
administrator during that time. I hope to announce soon just who the new
administrator will be.
