Firstly, I can assure all Ausloco Subscribers that there is something worse
then a Virus !!
And thats when your HardDisc 'Packs it In', after a power failure !!
Unfortunately, there's no Software available that can give you any
'Protection' against this ;~)
Other then good 'BackUp' !!

As well as the Postings on Ausloco, I've also received some 'Off-List'
E-Mails from Subscribers who use 'Hotmail' for their Subscriptions to
Ausloco.
And I THANK them for their consideration, in keeping them OFF Ausloco !!
As far as I can ascertain, this is a 'Hotmail' problem.
And I'd suggest that, if you wish to persever on Ausloco with so called
'Free' E-Mail such as 'Hotmail', then you definately must expect problems !!
'Hotmail' may offer a certain amount of autonomy, especially when you want
to 'mouth off' a bit.
And, thank you, Mr STEELMOUSE38 at Hotmail !!
Enjoyed corresponding with you !!

'Hotmail' is really NOT the way to go !!
If you wish to gain any real benefits from ANY Mailing List !!

In the 'interest' of keeping AUSLOCO Postings within the bounds of a SIG,
any problems such as this, as well as ANY possible VIRUS problems should be
FIRSTLY directed 'OFF-LIST' to Bob Gioia, the current Administrator.

Bob, indeed has a wealth of experience to call on, when necessary !!

Unfortunately, as soon as anyone mentions V I R U S nowadays,  its become
'RUN FOR YOUR LIVES . . . We'll All be Killed !! '

Ausloco is very lucky in that we have Subscribers that work in the computer
industry OR are very experienced home PC computer Users, and are quite
willing to assist and share their knowledge in this particular arena.
I greatly appreciated their 'Off-List' assistance on Monday, in regard to
the recent, and really, a totally unnecessary 'Panic',  in regard to the so
called 'kak' virus !!

On a lighter note !!
Ivar, time to change your 'Hotmail' Address !!

I should point out that this particular Virus really hasn't got anything to
do with the WELL ADVERTISED ,  so called 'ILOVEYOU' Virus !!

In all Seriousness, the interests of Ausloco is best served, by keeping your
Postings WITHIN the PRE-Established Guidelines for OUR Special Interest
Group (SIG) !!

Anything, over and above these Guidelines, should be directed to the
Administrator or the  ROSTERED  Moderator, respectively.
And, definately NOT on the 'List !!

On a different matter :-

Any 'Off-List' correspondance and the comments contain within is the
personal responsibiliy of individual Ausloco Subscribers.
AND DON'T NECESSARILY REFLECT THOSE OF AUSLOCO ADMINISTRATION

NOBODY other then the ADMINISTRATOR and the 'Current'
MODERATOR has the Authority to REMOVE Subscribers from AUSLOCO
