[Ausloco] ADMIN: Re Virus Advise

One of the most effective ways of dealing with any possible Virus that may
use HTML or Java Coding imbedded within an E-Mail is to always use the
'Plain Text' option for ALL your E-Mails. And NEVER the HTML option.
In the case of Outlook Express, this is found in the preferences.
Also in your Address Book, each and everyone of your entries, should have
the box labelled 'Send E-Mail using plain Text only' , TICKED.
This will also have the added benefit of minimising the annoyance of those
damn Banners !!
Perhaps a knowledgable Netscape E-Mail User as well as a User of any other
of the less popular E-Mail 'Clients' could Post, on the end of this Thread,
the method used to achieve the same !!
As far as I'm aware the 'ILOVEYOU' Virus and its derivatives travel as an
Attachment and not as Embedded Coding.
However, I'm sure there are Virus's which use Embedded Coding.
