[Ausloco] canterbury 6/5/00

At 3:15 yesterday afternoon, 8212 and 48118 came by in charge of approx 
12. container wagons on the up goods at Canterbury. The train I was on 
(the late running 15.13 to City Circle) paced the train to Marrickville, 
where to my surprise, the train was switched onto the  Illawarra line. 
This seemed unusual, unless it was a late running 5/8972 minus the usual 
Manildra wagons. Furthermore, 48118 bore a hand painted (with fluoro 
Orange spray paint) legend on the fuel tank 'not to be filled over 500 
litres'.Hope this is of interest
