Re: [Ausloco] 3801 trips
I had heard this from a very reliable source who found out when assessing a
request by Freight Australia, to prepare a schedule for a train to run a
dedicated service from Melbourne to Brisbane via Bathurst.
They were going to run into Harden, run around, then via Demondrille and
Cowra to Blayney, then Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, via Ulan line to Telarah
then north.
Quite a long way around but still apparently quicker than going either via
Parkes or via the metro area, which during the games would limit things
greatly.
Consequently because the Cowra Blayney line has only been opened to branch
line standard they couldn't accept the contract.
