There was a posting from Roger Renton regarding 82 class units possibly 
being relayed on SM2/MS2 trains at Junee recently.
I can confirm that the unit referred to, 8216 did have problems with the 
Victorian radio equipment on the stated journey and was swapped at Junee for 
what I believe was 8215 which had come up from Melb on 3MS2 which in turn 
worked back to Melb on 3SM2 and 8216 worked back "home" on 3MS2 for 
attention.
