Aus loco discussion mailing list
G'day,
spent the day off gunzeling (what a surprise eh?) and found:
On the Ballarat line:
R711 crossed A-FSH-PH at Parwan, then went onto Bacchus Marsh and was
run through by N loco - N set, which crossed N loco - FSH set at Bank
Box loop (unusual for two loco hauled trains on the Ballarat on a
weekday), the latter crossing R711 at Bacchus Marsh. I was at the well
known armco culvert on Ingliston Bank, with similar loads (711 had
BK-BK-WAL, the N loco had a 3 car N set), I reckon 711 was matching the
speed of the N loco up the bank - but was substantially smokier :)
Moving on to Geelong:
9121 had G515+X37+T40(? - the FA one)+X46, 9137 had Axx+S307, 9123 had
G+X+X47, the 1600 goods to Melb (9420?) had G511, T392 ran a local trip
out to Corio to collect oil pots, 8232 had B61, the log train had
T+T396, and 9080 had a G.
Cheers,
Craig.
