Ivar,
When F.A. train number 9261 (empty logs) runs to Hume on consecutive trips,
EL51 alternates from nose southwards to nose northwards.
The EL always leads the empties from Queanbeyan to Hume no matter how it is
facing.
One would think that they would take advantage of the 'double cab' G543 to
lead the empties if the EL was wrong way round.
This would then leave the EL right way round to haul the loaded wagons back
to Queanbeyan.
If the drivers aren't concerned about hauling a train 10 kilometres, I guess
running light engine backwards is fairly trivial!
Bye,
