I can confirm that the smoke you all saw was none other than a "Sim's Metal"
site fire!!!

They had somehow managed to set alight a pile of cars, fridges and the like
hence the BLACK thick and not to mention, toxic, smoke.

The NSW Fire Brigade and the Airport Fire Brigade attended.

The ironic thing is that I was on a vacant block of land undergoing Fire
Auxilery Training.  Nothing like a live demo!!
