CFCLA's EL54 and EL57 are still being put
to good use by Freight Australia on their Dimboola to Portland grain
trains.
They were sighted today (28th March) at Dimboola hooking onto a loaded
grain train that had just arrived off the Yaapeet branch. They were added
to the front of a single G that had done the honours on the branch.
The loco lash up for the trip to Portland was then
EL54-EL57-G535, hauling 30 to 40 loaded grain wagons.
G541 and RT18 were also present, shut-down, in the yard at Dimboola.
Horsham yard had its usual assortment of container flats, and RT28, but no other
motive power.
yours,
Simon King
