botany and cooks 27/3

Aus loco discussion mailing list

G'Day,  i guess i should tell you about myself first
I love trains, i'm 16, and live in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

Cooks River and Botany especially were busy this afternoon around 4 pm.

    At Cooks,
1873 in MCS,
EL 52, EL 58, EL62/4701 in the yard
NR's 108/42/56 in the new yard with one 60' flat. (not sure whether these were the seatrain locos or off PS6)
4846/4860 detached from a long empty from Botany and ran into the yard, 8158 ran down from the neck and attached. Had to move onto Botany then.
    At Botany,
8103 on a long train in Botany yard ready to depart
8138 shunting P&O (ex syd haulage)
8163 running out from CTAL
4849/48145 on a train waiting to enter port botany
8237 sitting outside admin.

The only thing better than double 48's - quad 48's

hope you enjoy, Chris Jones
