Guys,
The Austrac service 7MS7 from Melbourne tonight was hauled by 373
(GNRS)-EL61 (AN) and EL52 (CFCLA). How long since a T class led on an
interstate sg freight? The ELs were marshalled "elephant" style. Train
departed Melb at 1700 and made a nice shot passing Wandong at 1812 in "full
sun". I don't know if the T is going beyond Albury but the train was very
lightly loaded (5 containers only) and the second EL was dead-attached. Any
news of the destination of the T is appreciated.
To cap off a nice afternoon's photography (in the sunny deep south), we shot
a magnificent combination on a grain at Broadmeadows....X36-X??-S306-X46 at
sunset (1903) heading north to ?Tocumwal/?Oaklands. This train was
paralleled out of Broadmeadows by 7MS4 with 2 NRs. Would have made a great
video sequence.
Cheers
Stuart Turnbull
