Afternoon, folks.
I was woken out of Dreamland by a curious sounding train on the down around 
04.12 this morning.
As I listened to it pass by and work towards Yanderra, curiosity got the 
better of me and I darted off to Mittagong via the M5 to find out what was 
making this Alco-ish sound.
Saw its headlight around Yerrinbool and easily beat it to Mittagong.
Finally at 04.38 along comes G522/EL51 working a "down" log train.
No doubt it was the Wallerawang service, but why running via the main south 
and obviously Robertson?
Was there yet another shutdown on the Illawarra? As there was one last week, 
didn't think they'd have a shut down 2 weeks in a row.
Anyhow, it was worth getting up for as the G/EL combo working under load is 
a new sound to these ears, and quite pleasant in the cool (?) early morning 
air in the Southern Highlands.
Anybody happen to know the train number, please?
Oh well, we get an extra hour's sleep tonight.
