Hi all,
Well while Darren Wood was here in Adelaide we caught up with each other.
On Saturday my day started at 0620 at Islington Freight Terminal.
In the AFT were:

I also saw the following trains:
0630, 6MA4 TOLL with G531/G541/G530 and 68 platforms.
0722, 7173 SCT shunt with 602 and 27 wagons.
0839 arrive, 5PM5 with NR36/AN5 and 52 platforms.
0848 arrive, 6MA5 with NR79/NR86/DL40 and 68 platforms.
0925 arrive, G530/G541/G531 light engines ex Toll.
0929, 6LA8 The Ghan with NR58 and 24 vehicles.

1003, 6MP9 SCT with G540/G528/G542 and 43 wagons.
I then met up with Darren Wood and we followed trains out north.

Back at Islington AFT were:

Then 7AM5 left at 1750 with NR96/NR82/DL40 and 73 platforms.
Between Unley Park and Mitcham NR82 failed with traction motor cut out.
The train also stopped at Blackwood,Glenalta and Belair. No engines were
available due to the track being cut at Islington for track work. The only
spare engine was AN11 at Tailem Bend. Here are some times for the train.
Darren has a great video of it.
1830 Lynton, 1907 Belair and 1927 at Upper Sturt.
On Sunday we went chasing again.
0810 Islington, 1AS8 Indian Pacific with NR58 and 17 vehicles.
At the AFT around the same time.
NR77,NR25/NR101/NR90/NR20/AN6/NR38/DL38,G531/G541/G530.
We then chased 1203 rail train to Wirrega with 603/846. Times for the train
are:
0820 Islington, 0835A 1040D Mile End, 1057 Lynton, 1120 Belair, 1148

1407 Murray Bridge and it arrived at Tailem Bend at 1430.
>From Tailem Bend we chased 1MA3 Patricks to Adelaide with CLF1/GM32/haul
CLP12 and 35 wagons all empty, which departed at 1440. It crossed 6PM7
Trailerail at Monarto South with NR77 and 12units which went through
Callington curve at 1517.
Other times for Patricks were:

At Mile End it crossed 1AM4 Toll with G538/G529/G520 with 68 platforms at

This ended a very long weekend. I had great fun with Darren Wood and will
catch up with him in Victoria sometime this year hopefully.
Cheers,
Justin Cheary
