I don't know how advanced the restoration on the cars has progressed,
but I heard a rumour, stress "rumour", from Melbourne on the weekend
that FV(FA?) A81 may be temporarily put onto sg to run this service
until B80 is ready.

The B in the GNRS yard is B75. Since Peter's visit to the WCR depot in
October, the B's status has changed a little. B80 is now on bogies under
restoration for the Murrylander service. B64 & B65 are now sitting on
blocks.

Also heard about a recent vandel attack. Apparently some of the cars for
the
Murraylander service were hit.

Has anyone got the third revised start-up date for the Murraylander
service?
