March 17 1980

Broken Hill

Tabled dep. time 1.30PM (SA time)
>From memory about 70 ore wagons !!
An excellent afternoon 'chase', this time of year !!
A damn hot and humid day, though !!
Air con' is both cab doors open on lead 600.
Plenty of opportunities for parallel running from the car.

A Tuesday

Spent the day 'chasing' the Wilmington goods out and
back to Gladstone with 'newly arrived' NSU58+NSU56.
7.30AM Ex Wilmington.
Mostly wheat wagons, bogie and 4 wheelers !!
Couldn't believe the photo opportunities !!
NSU56 'Failed' on way back !!
