The last train to Kapinnie for this grain season occurs today
with Train No. 6001 hauled by NJ6, NJ2, NJ3.
Yesterday, ( 16/3 ) 873, 869, 872 hauled 15 trucks from
Yeelanna to Kapinnie arriving there at 4.23pm and the three loading
staff
from Yeelanna took two hours to load the 15 trucks.
Speed is restricted in places to 10kph. This train dropped 12
trucks at
Edillilie and 13 at Yeelanna. Most 3 loco trains
departing Pt.Lincoln have 40 trucks of varying sizes, even ex broad
gauge.
Locos based at Lincoln are NJ 1 to 6. Green
DA6 and orange DA7. 865, 869, 871, 872, 873. Not sure locos based
at
Thevenard. DA7, 865, 871 worked Lock 15/3 (
the Ides of March - and the cloud was a curse ). NJ6, 865, NJ2
worked Lock
16/3.
