Re: End of the 422s???

Could the 'something else' be an EL with XPT coaches ?  Would have to be on 
a thrice weekly schedule at least, though.  In the Rail Digest article on 
the Broken Hill train the writer mentioned that there were only 13 
passengers on the existing train.

That might also allow the Griffith service to be increased in frequency, 
using the 422s and the tuscan coach set.  What used to work that service, 
and was it daily ?
