Railway Place, North Melbourne located near North Melbourne station, get
off at North Melbourne and walk back towards Spencer Street.
There is a "railfan platform" facing Standard gauge overbridge, this is
where standard gauge to Spencer Street crosses Board Guage suburban/Country
lines. In the Morning between 730 and 900 there are countless number of
trains on both BG and SG from various places within Victoria or
interstate(Overland/XPT).
The place is also great at night where you can photgraph Ghan/Overland/XPT/
as well as Dockland's night lights and Citylink's bridge.
Cheers
James
