Following my posting on March 6 re the sighting of
4 NR locos at West Midland, it transpires that any 'foreign' loco operator is
charged a fee to turn their locos on Westrail's Forrestfield
turntable.
To alleviate this all locos are coupled up and run
from Kewdale to Goninan's siding at Bassendean (next to the ARHS Museum) then
reverse and head out to Midland. From there they head down the eastern leg of
the Woodbridge triangle back to Kewdale.
Simple and no unecessary cost to the
management!
