Re: Kapinnie Grain

Hi Ivan

No, there are reports of the closure or mooted closure of the line every
year, including this year in the EPOS newsletter. Part of the reason is
that it looks closed ! I am not sure when the last 'general' freight worked
to Kapinnie; AFAIK, the line has been grain only since the early 70s. If
credit is to go to ASR for chasing business and keeping this marginal
railway open, it must also go to SAR and to AN, for taking the risk of
sending combos of up to three precious NJs and 830s out there !

Cheers

Ben
