Aus loco discussion mailing list
Evening all,
By comparison to yesterday, today was unusually quiet in my usual haunts.
Cooks river produced only 8044 & 8031 stabled within yard area, 8164 waiting
to work 1827 to Blayney & EL62 with damaged body panels on driver's side
stabled next to Seatrans shed at around 07.30
Botany @ 7.45 was deserted, but returning at lunch time found 8046/8026
depart on up containers @ 12.21 (Didn't see you, Brad)
8033 was waiting to depart on up empties @ 12.55 whilst at 12.57
442s5/NR35 arrived on down trip with just 2 empty flats!( Both locos #1 end
leading).
Same location at 16.30 revealed no locos at all! What a comparison to
yesterday!
Meanwhile at Bargo on 8214/4879 on 3SM2 @ 18.00 (unusual as the load was
well within 8214 capabilities though both units working), NR101/NR87/NR50 on
3YN2 @ 19.02 and finally NR70/NR12 on 3SM5 @ 20.42
Hope tomorrow is brighter.
Regards
Ivar Sorrasson
