Re: [Ausloco] RE 830's arrived in Melbourne

The 830's have been purchased by ATN and have awarded RTS to upgrade the
cabs and repaint them into ATN livery. RTS have also got the contract to
paint the hopper wagons (XGAY) into ATN livery. The main priority is to
paint the wagons and work should start next week. The RTS boys reckon they
can paint the whole lot in around one week. They are just painting the sides
so let's see. As a side note - every wagon has been attacked with Graffiti.
At least they are just in grey undercoat. Also heard the train is due to
start running in two weeks time from Dimboola.

Other stuff around today, or what little was on offer.

Three green EL's worked the Austrac train into Melbourne.

Tin can transfer to and from Somerton had Y168.

BL26 in fresh National Rail repaint is expected to do a test run next week
before heading across to WA.
