Re: [Ausloco] Ausloco - Only 13 postings since 10/7
As the previous administrator of this list I feel it is time to say a few words on this issue. I believe that Ausloco today is exactly what it should be. It is an informative Australia wide discussion list for locomotive based
issues. In the past many held views that there was too much off topic discussion whilst others had no objection to that. I fully support the approach taken by the present team and I can say it is pleasing to receive quality
messages on this list. I am aware of at least 3 other lists presently operating and they are state based rather that Australia wide. Even these other lists have rules for subscribers. For example the QR list is strictly for Qld
based stuff and outsiders are not very welcome. Whilst we don't get may postings on this list now it is worth pointing out that the list has grown since I handed it over. Back then there were 260 subscribers and today there are
300. I recall telling someone once that if they didn't like Ausloco they could start their own list. Ausloco can only be here to please the majority and there will always be those unhappy with some aspects of it.
