A few items from the West.

D 1561 is stored at Forrestfield, along with L 257, 259, 274. (I have checked these myself).  The 2 D class are both to be overhauled, along with A 1513 / A 1514.  L 261 and 263 are back in traffic, while L 260 and 262 are being fully overhauled and should come back into traffic in yellow.  EL 52 is at Goninan, Bassendean for gearing into freight configuration.

NR 30 / NR 52 worked the Indian Pacific into Perth yesterday with 29 coaches, but no motorail.  They worked it out again today in reverse order.  This train will pick up the Olympic flame in Kalgoorlie.

We should know who will be buying Westrail Freight by September.  Favourites seem to be FA and ATN.  Other mentioned candidates are BGC and Wesfarmers - it is difficult to see how they could reform the business, but the road train fans would be happy!
