Re: [Ausloco] Re: ATN working, plus electrics return
Well, what a thread I kicked off! Thanks for all the comments. I was aware
of the SAR diesel loco numbering and classification system, however WA's L
class was always the "L class". In the current NSW working timetable
conditions pages (actually renamed but I forget the new title) it is listed
as "code" L. I believe this info is supplied by the operator. So it still
surprises me that ATN's L class do not carry an identifying "L" with their
road number.
(You never know, maybe ATN are going to rename the 830's 8 class and the L's
2 class?)

which had the number. These were probably all stolen anyway. SAR didn't have
class letters, they were just known by the first loco in the class which, in
this case, was 830.
