Yes I agree, they will always be the 830 class even if only one is left
and it is numbered 874 or something. Same with 900 and 930 etc. Remember
when the WA L's were in Victoria all those years ago they were
officially referred to as WL's but they were merely L's to all and
sundry, and they will remain just L's even now. Which prompts a
question, what is the class designation of the GNR locos? Maybe they are
the 20 class (GM's) and 367 class (e.g. 381) etc. Any suggestions or
info.
