Re: WANTED: AusLoco Administrator

Aus loco discussion mailing list

It has become painfully obvious that a number of AusLoco Subscribers are not
capable of honouring the Guidelines for the 'List and insist on using it to
Post their own non relevant, personal views and opinions. And in a lot of
cases,
simply 'push their own barrow'.
Unfortunately, AusLoco is fast becoming a Mailing List version of the
AusRail Newsgroup.
And it was never intended to be this type of Open Forum.
This has always been made perfectly clear in the Guidelines.
It has therefore reached the stage where the integrity of AusLoco is now in
question !!
A lot of the Postings that appear each day are not only of no interest to
the majority of the Subscribers, they are of no interest to me, either.
And I simply do not have a couple of hours each day to handle the
correspondence that comes direct to me, as Administrator and which, in most
cases, also echoes my own sentiments.
A 'List that you make available to everybody and trust the Subscribers to
follow the Forum 'Guidelines' obviously doesn't work.
I MIGHT ADD, THAT I WILL BE REMOVING MYSELF AS THE NOMINATED ADMINISTRATOR
AND LIST OWNER THIS WEEKEND. AND ONCE THIS OCCURS AUSLOCO WILL NO LONGER BE
AN ACTIVE MAILING LIST ON THE LISTBOT SERVER.
IF ANYONE WISHES TO TAKE OVER THIS TASK THEN it will be possible for AUSLOCO
TO CONTINUE.

    Patrick,

As you probably noticed I have just been watching lately as I have had
not had much time to post, I would like post my details of my Work trip
visiting the Mildura and Western Lines, when Freight Victoria sent me there
last week. I have to write it yet. Why do you want to leave, Whats been
