Good Evening

Yes your right Peter, 42203 has been "touched up" with a white spray can in
an attempt to make it's numbers more legible.
I suspect this was done as the unit now travels through train order
teritory(Orange - Parkes). One of the rules associated with train order
working is being able to clearly read locomotive numbers. This is just
another method to identify the train that you are crossing(also for track
maintenance workers).
It's a shame that CountryLink doesn't spend a few bob and give both loco's a
repaint. Tuscan of course.
