Mornin' all,
Last night saw 9083 ex Melb arr
Echuca at 1845 hrs with G524 + S307 + X43 + G525 + X54 (all V/Line
"paintjob" remnants) with 21 container flats. Last three locos were
d/a. Waiting to greet them in the yard was X40 (FV all-over green with decals).
Why some many? Answer = A grain
special works to Geelong today ex Echuca @ 1500hrs with 30 or more hoppers ex
Echuca (X40 has worked up to Moulamein this morning dep Echuca 0510 hrs to
gather part of these) with a further 20+ hoppers at Elmore & 9 more at
Goornong to be picked up en route. Probably worked by G + X + S (no.1 end
leading ) but the S class may be on tomorrows 9084 ex Echuca to Melb. A biggy
indeed by the time Bendigo is passed!
"Weather fine - track good"
(no, "track woeful" is more correct!) but get your pikkies - its a
daylight runner on a weekend on the Echuca line!
Tomorrows 9084 will be G + X40 (FV) +
possibly S class (if its not on todays special).
