Meeks Rd Jct, Enfield Yard and NR Chullora

This morning at 9.25am, 8173/8240 trundled through Meeks Rd Junction with a  
large string of loaded conflats heading for Cooks River. While on the side 
of the track which leads under the main line, the police were trying to 
recover what looked like a car, which had gone through the fence and down 
the embankment. It did not appear to have reached the tracks.

At Enfield Yard, 8025 had another very short, "branch line goods loading" of 
a short flat wagon with handrails and one Mobil tanker. While 48118/48117 
were ready to depart with a rake of Ampol tankers. There were several other 
locos hidden amongst the numerous remaining wagons.

Meanwhile over at Chullora, work is well underway for the NR terminal 
extension. There is earthmoving equipment all over the place and they seem 
to be proceeding at a brisk pace. Daracon are the contractors for the 
earthworks. Waiting alongside the terminal were four NR locos - couldn't see 
the numbers though.
