Good morning / afternoon from a wet and cool Alice Springs!  Aah! Relief
at last!

Tuesday afternoon, DL39 had MOVED!! and was coupled to NR11.  I thought
it may go out on Wed morning's 4LA6N, but it wasn't to be - by Wednesday
morning, it was back in its usual spot.

Tue 25/1: NR23 / AN2 (my first live AN sighting!) arrived about 15
minutes or so early with 2AL7N freight.  From the length in the yard,
I'd guess possibly 45-odd wagons.

Wed 26/1: NR11 and AN2 had departed at least half an hour early with
4LA6N freight: already gone when I went looking.  
DL39 and NR23 were in the yard.
NR25 solo arrived with 4 motorails / 1 double-stacked 5-well / 3 single
flats / 2-pack / 2 singles / 2-pack / 2 singles / 5-pack with centre
well / 2 singles / 2-pack / 4 singles / 2-pack / 3 singles / 2-pack /
5-pack / 3 mobil tanks = 48 wagons, about 15 minutes early.  As looks to
be usual, only about 2-3 empty slots at most.
NR23 was already on the head of 5LA6N, Thursday morning's departure,
with about 25 wagons only (haven't been past the yard today to see
whether it collected any more before departing).  Loading was completed
around 1955; about 7-10 empty slots

There are four ex-V/Line 3-packs (now RQUY, 23T, 20B, 4V and one
concealed) spare / stored in the yard, along with the one and only (?)
centre-well 3-pack (RQVY1U).  RQUY19F was on 2AL7N arrival, 25/1, and
went out again this morning (?).

I was asked if I've managed any photos: so far, only of the NSUs!  The
NR action has been running earlier and earlier, so I keep missing it.
The evening arrivals are generally in fading light, so may not be any
good, but I'll keep trying!
