G'day all,
9083 goods ex Melb last night arr OK
behind G515 (FV paintjob) + X44. G515 is first "box" to hit Echuca in
FV colours & will work to Deniliquin tomorrow (Sun) dep 1300 hrs &
return to Echuca 1700 -1800 hrs depending on whats to do at Deni!
An X class worked a job to Moulamein
& return ex Echuca today (Sat). Still hadn't returned at 1430 hrs?? Could be
a long day for the crew out there in the dust and winds as the train is normally
back in Echuca well before 1300 hrs even on a Sat.
Last night @ Tallarook Vic I
witnessed the passing of 18 trains (bg & sg) between 1715 hrs and 2300 hrs.
Of interest, were 9 x NR class incl.. "Warmi' & being 3 x double
headers & the triple on WP2, 8214 Syd bound & A78 + X 47 (FV) in full
cry on the bg grain ex Tocumwal NSW at around 2240 hrs. The Tocumwal bg goods
which followed the aforementioned grain was a long train as usual and was
spotted just south of Murchison East Vic at 2340 hrs in full cry but with the
locos unidentifiable.
