No, not a bit of it. You only have to look around at weekends to see
truck drivers crawling all over their vehicles washing and polishing
every last bit of metal to see the sort of attitude to image they have.
Whilst I'm not suggesting that train drivers to the same thing, a
smartening up of the companies livery (yes I love silver trucks too) to
facilitate the PR would not go amiss. Nothing looks smarter than to see
a train of, say, freshly painted (or even cleaned) grain wagons being
hauled by equally clean locos. Makes every one sit up and take notice.
