Afternoon all,

I have just returned from Thirlmere and the "Cross Country Express" has left
with 4490+44211+4201(2 end leading) heading for Picton.  This means that the
train will depart south from Picton with the 42 leading, possibly all the
way to Melbourne.  It left Thirlmere on time at 5.20pm and is out of Picton
at 6.10pm.  (Actually they are speaking on the scanner now as I type).  It
is due into Melbourne 9.25am tomorrow morning (Saturday).

Despite all the other names the train has received in the past, the official
title of the train is the "Cross Country Express" according to STN
No.25 -2000.
