Aus loco discussion mailing list
Danny/Aus.loco'ers
I saw the same train with the same locos transitting through Canterbury
station at 9.30 this morning, there were a lot of empty slots on the
conflats too. I must say that the EL's are very quiet units, in fact the
traffic noise from Canterbury Road overpowered the two EL's today.
On a rolling stock issue (not strictly on topic I know) does the 'E'
prefix on a wagon code (i.e. E---) denote an Austrac wagon ?. 3SM7 seemed
to be made up of a number of Victorian (V coded), Silverton (S coded) and
E coded stock.
Hope this is of use
Scott
