422 Class farewell

Afternoon, folks,
Have had word from a reliable source that the 2 remaining Freightcorp 422's 
42210 & 42219 have been specially rostered to work 1239 Canberra oil ex 
Clyde tonight and return ex Canberra on 2138 empty oil saturday 15th jan.
Following this trip the 2 units will be stored and the word is that this 
will be a permanent withdrawal.
The train is due out of Canberra @ 1350 sat, thru Goulburn @ 1650 and will 
pick up cement loading from Berrima from where they will depart with a load 
of 3200 tonnes which is 200 tonnes below their full load .
I will attempt to stay awake tonight to confirm that the 2 units do actually 
work this train and will post result.
Also, the Broken Hill passenger trains WL33/34 are scheduled to be double 
422 class hauled as from Tuesday 18th jan (being 42203/42220).
Finally, 8216 is about to be released with full satellite gear enabling it 
to be used on Syd/Melb run as from tonight or early next week. Apparently a 
pool of 5 units 8212/8216 have been nominated for this traffic and units 
will be able to work to Dynon and Altona.
There you go,you mexicans, more variety for you!
