Geelong sightings Friday 7/1/2000

Hi all,

Visited Geelong this afternoon, noted elongated FV painted X49, leading X43
on 9137 Cowangie Goods. Locos on train at 14.30, departed Nth Geelong "C"
Box at 15.50. Also seen in yard X48 coupled to S301, acccording to
signaller, were to run 9339 Oaklands grain departing approx 19.00. S301
still has TNT stickers on nose and cab sides, no cast number plates and
Matthew Flinders name painted on only. Where are the original plates? Would
be nice to see these items fully restored if and when it's repainted in FV
colours - please Marinus!!!

Can someone please advise which route #9141 Dn Mildura Goods takes these
days - does it still operate via the Pass lines to Sunshine then via the
Marsh or go via Tottenham Yard and North Geelong? Times would also be a
great help, any advice gratefully received?
