This reminds me of L1171 in the late 80's - it hit a truck somewhere,
and received a damaged nose, around the time L's were being withdrawn
and scrapped. It was repaired at Newport (I was told it was for
insurance purposes), and the nose repainted (and photographed by me!),
but it never ran again, and was cut up a year or so later!

Hi,
It seems unlikely that T408 has been stored, mainly for the reason that
it's been repainted recently (Making the assumption that it would be a
huge
waste to paint something then store it).
